Moore Heart This Holiday Season

Moore Heart This Holiday Season

At Moore, one of the pillars that make up our foundation is CARE. We care deeply, not just for the wellbeing and health of our member firms and people, but also for the communities in which they operate. This holiday season, we are proud to share the Moore Heart that is prevalent in our members, as they give back to their communities and show just how much they CARE!

Brown Smith Wallace used this year’s “Giving Tuesday” as a chance to raise awareness for their not-for-profit clients. Given the financial strain COVID has created for many nonprofits, sharing the cause as broadly as possible was important for them. They also identified a nonprofit organization that employees are raising funds for in conjunction with their holiday party, with partners matching the funds raised.

Elliott Davis participated in their annual United Way fundraiser, but with a new approach…they focused more on volunteering than giving. They set no goals for fundraising and didn’t stress participation, yet they still had high involvement across the board, setting an incredible example of generosity, even when some may not have as much to give.

Proving that “giving” doesn’t have a season, The Bonadio Group hosted their annual Purpose Day back in August, leveraging virtual volunteer opportunities with local and national organizations to keep employees and communities safe, while giving back to some deserving causes. Overall, 581 employees volunteered at 14 regional and national organizations, including Operation Gratitude and United Nations Online Volunteers.

These are just a few examples of how our members give back to their community. We are proud of our members’ generosity, and we can’t wait to see how they show their Moore Heart in the new year. Thank you all for making the holiday season a bit warmer!
