Nancy is the leader of Bonadio's Real Estate Industry Team and is located in the firm's Buffalo office. She is responsible for audit and consulting for various entities, specializing in real estate entities. She is also responsible for the audits of numerous employee benefit plans, including defined contribution plans, employee stock ownership plans, health & welfare plans and 11-K filings. Nancy is on the Bonadio Group 401k Plan Committee and co-leads the Bonadio Firm Wide Employee Benefit Plan Audit efficiency team. Nancy has extensive experience in consulting engagements helping clients identify operating efficiencies. For example, she recently led an engagement to evaluate the operating effectiveness of the construction company and the financial reporting department of a real estate client. While testing operating effectiveness, she identified ways to improve the efficiency of the processes currently in place. She presented the recommendations to the client in a heat map, focusing on the most pressing items. Through this work, the client made changes to improve process flow and automation within the company. This resulted in the CFO and Controller having more time to focus on high level issues within the company. She is a consultant and advisor that takes special pride in empowering companies with the ability to see where they are now, and where they want to go, complemented by the experience of guiding clients on how to achieve their goals. Nancy believes that a strong client relationship is the cornerstone of superb client service, a sentiment that is reflected in her business approach. Prior to her employment with Bonadio, Nancy was an auditor with KPMG, LLP in Pittsburgh, PA. Nancy is a member of the Frontier Central School District Audit Committee and on the Advisory Committee for the Hamburg School District Academy of Finance. Nancy is on the Board of Directors of The Family Justice Center of Erie County, the Board of Directors of the Risk Management Association – Buffalo Chapter, Board of Directors of NAIOP and a member of the Urban Land Institute. She is a graduate of The Bonadio Group’s signature leadership development program, the Bonadio Leadership University and an active member of Leadership Buffalo. Nancy is a 2018 Buffalo Niagara Partnership Athena Award Young Professional Finalist and 2018 Buffalo Business First 40 under 40 honoree.
