Janine is a Partner with the firm's Healthcare/Tax Exempt Division. Janine is the Albany Team Leader and the HCTE Co-Practice Leader. In her client service role, she has serviced the healthcare market providing accounting, audit and consulting services to nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, homecare, and independent and assisted living facilities in New York State for over 25 years. In addition to Janine’s experience providing accounting and auditing services to a wide range of healthcare organizations, her consulting experience includes expert rate and reimbursement analyses, Medicaid and Medicare cost report preparation, appeals, and rate projections. Janine’s working relationship with the Department of Health includes representing client’s interests in numerous reimbursement audits including base period, property, roll forwards, dropped services, Medicare Part B, and NAMI, as well as representing clients in discussions with the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG). Janine graduated from St. John Fisher College, magna cum laude, with a B.S. degree in Accounting.
