Steve is Partner-in-Charge of the Audit Services group of Brown Smith Wallace. With over 25 years of experience, he is responsible for providing audit, customized accounting, tax, and consulting services to the firm’s clients. His past work experience also includes leading the St. Louis financial services practice for Ernst & Young, and providing audit services for both large privately and publicly held companies while at Arthur Andersen for 12 years. Steve specializes in providing clients with counsel related to complex business matters such as cost reduction strategies, mergers and acquisitions, process improvement, internal controls and risk management. He serves clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, financial services, not-for-profit, distribution and real estate. He regularly helps his clients realize both financial and operational success. Steve is skilled at multi-million dollar cost reduction projects, and has also completed multiple enterprise risk assessments, ensuring proactive internal controls and risk transfer solutions for his clients.
