Moore North America Announces Tony Caleca as Chair, Appoints Three New Members to Executive Board

Eden Prairie, MN – Members of Moore North America (Moore NA), one of eight regional members of Moore Global Network Limited (MGNL), have voted three new members to join the Moore NA Executive Board.

“Our membership in Moore has been invaluable,” said Matt Armanino, CEO at Armanino LLP. “It has allowed us to expand our relationships and capabilities across the network. As a board member, I look forward to helping Moore continue to differentiate itself as client-centered organization during this time of incredible change in our profession.”

In addition to Armanino, Alan Badey, president and New York City managing partner at Citrin Cooperman, and Greg Hutchins, partner at HCVT, join the board, effective January 1, 2020.

“Citrin Cooperman has been a member of Moore NA for almost a decade during which I have seen both our firm and the network evolve alongside each other,” said Badey. “I am proud to have been appointed to the Board of Moore NA and am looking forward to working together on opportunities to focus on the future for us, our clients, and communities.”

The executive board is democratically elected by their peers to set the direction for North America, so clients are assured the same professional standards and quality services are provided everywhere.

“After a brief hiatus, I am honored to return to the board,” said Hutchins. “As a board member, my goal is to help drive more effective collaboration and knowledge sharing among our member firms. We learn from each other, regardless of the size of the firm, and that is the power of the association.”

In addition to these new appointments, Tony Caleca, managing partner at Brown Smith Wallace, has ascended to the role of Chair, following his previous role of vice chair of the board.

“Our firm has proudly been associated with Moore for more than 20 years, said Caleca. “As chairman of Moore North America, I look forward to collaborating with Moore leaders across North America and the world in serving our colleagues and our clients with transformative and innovative strategies.”

The executive board consists of ten members; in addition to Caleca, Armanino, Badey and Hutchins are Cheryl Burke, COO of DiCicco, Gulman & Company, Pat Fuelling, shareholder at Doeren Mayhew & Company, P.C., Dan Natale, managing partner at Segal, LLP, Bruce Zicari, managing partner at The Bonadio Group, Rick Davis, CEO of Elliott Davis, and Beth Leonard, managing partner of Lurie LLP.

“With the guidance of Tony and the addition of our new members, I am certain this board will bring new and exciting insights and perspective to help members thrive,” said Tony Szczepaniak, chief executive officer of Moore NA.

Leaving the board is Lou Grassi, CEO and managing partner of Grassi & Co., and Andy Armanino. Since stepping down from his role of CEO and managing partner of Armanino at the end of 2018, Andy has served on the Moore Global board and will succeed Richard Moore as Moore Global Chairman, effective January 1, 2020.

“Lou played a key role in propelling our association forward. We thank him for his commitment and will continue to seek his guidance as we continue to gain momentum now and in the future,” said Szczepaniak.
